Born from the encounter of the Renaissance lute with the luminous atmosphere of Italy, the mandolin has ways of expression that go far beyond the Baroque Neapolitan songs on which its reputation has largely been founded. An eclectic repertoire which requires sometimes very different tonal qualities, so Philippe Bosset has lovingly designed three lines of strings, based on an original hexagonal metal core model with handmade buckle: A Bronze 80/20 line – also known as «Soft Brass” – ideal for the quick and bright playing style commonly associated with Bluegrass music.
