Galli JF4530 Jazz Flat Medium Polished Stainless Steel
Fat flats!
Fat flats!
After using several of the more famous flats around; Labella DTF, black tapes, Chromes, Pyramids etc, I settled with the well known low tension TI noodles as my favorites on my JB for some years. They sound great playing on your own, but I increasingly felt they would "fall apart" and loose that "oomph" in a band situation when I sometimes need to "dig in" a little...so I started looking for some jazz flats with a more tension. And soon the Galli Jazz Flats entered my radar :-)
Ordered and received within a couple of days (to Norway...) Wound them up on my De Geir Bebop 5 fretless, and man do they sound great!! They are firmer /higher tension than the TI´s and have more bottom end; but still with a very nice fat fundamental. Notes stand out perfectly, and even harmonics pop out nicely. I´m really impressed. These are first class strings with a very smooth feel. Really nice to move around on these on a fretless. Recommended!
