Warwick 42200 M 4 Medium
Cheap but okay
Cheap but okay
These Warwick Red Labels may be the cheapest stainless steel bass strings that still sound okay. Not as bright as Rotosound Swing Bass but the gritty rock attack is still there and they sound the way I like it right out of the package. Longevity isn't a problem with this low price, on average these are 3-4 times cheaper than the more expensive sets. The string tension is average, but the feel is really coarse and harsh, even "sandpaper"-like. Not a problem for me, but skip these if looking for smooth stainless steel.
